Overview

Hitachi Rail Singapore — advancing rail signalling and safety solutions for safe, efficient railway operations — is hiring a Project Intern for the North East Line (NEL) Verification & Validation team. You'll support software V&V processes that keep rail systems reliable and secure.

The role spans troubleshooting, building Python tools to resolve incidents, documenting procedures and configurations, and improving system stability, security, and efficiency through monitoring, alerts, and software engineering best practices.

Key Requirements

• Education: Currently enrolled in full‑time undergraduate CS or related technical field; interest in system engineering — verification & validation.
• Duration: Able to commit to minimum 6 months full‑time credit‑bearing internship (preferred).
• Linux: Proficiency in Linux OS internals and network concepts.
• Scripting: Experience developing tools with Python (or similar scripting languages).
• Work scope: Support software V&V; troubleshoot incidents; create resolution tools; document procedures/configurations/standards; implement monitors and alerts; contribute across SDLC.
• Location: Singapore — hybrid work arrangement.
