Job summary

EduCare Specialist Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a rail infrastructure project in Singapore. This 6-month contract involves planning, design, coordination and field activities across multidisciplinary teams.

You will review drawings and specifications, assist with inspections, testing and commissioning, and help manage procurement of mechanical equipment while ensuring safety and compliance with project standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, infrastructure or rail projects.
• Railway/rail infrastructure experience preferred or required per client.
• Ability to read drawings and technical specs.
• Site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, coordination, and execution of mechanical works for rail projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and equipment documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, M&E, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor site installation and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Assist with inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
• Identify issues, coordinate corrective actions, and track defects.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project docs.
• Support scheduling, material coordination, procurement of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specs, and safety requirements.
