An established industry player is seeking a dedicated engineer to ensure the performance and safety of their Automatic Fare Collection System. This role involves maintaining critical systems, managing compliance, and leading technical investigations to enhance system reliability. Primary Objectives of Position
Performance maintenance of the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFC) to ensure that the safety, reliability, and availability of the system meet the standards.
Maintain Transit Link Ticketing Kiosk (TUK) as an outsourced contractor and ensure all work complies with requirements.
Implement and deliver the LTA AFC project for renewal and replacement.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by superiors.
Major Responsibilities
Ensure systems and facilities are maintained without major interruption, maintaining AFC availability.
Maintain failure management and emergency response processes and procedures for AFC.
Maintain Transit Link TUK to requirements and report monthly on compliance.
Ensure technical staff are competently trained and certified to perform servicing works.
Review cost-effectiveness of material inventory and contracting works.
Implement safety plans in AFC and eliminate all safety hazards.
Review engineering designs, lead investigations into technical failures, and recommend the best technical solutions to improve system performance.
Liaise and participate with LTA for software/hardware modifications and AFC system testing.
Manage maintenance costs within the budget.
Maintain good waste management practices for sustainability.

Specific Safety Responsibilities
Set, approve, and implement technical standards for AFC and related equipment maintenance to ensure operational safety.
Ensure the safety of staff, related contractors, and others working on or around railway premises.
Assign only competent maintenance staff for AFC and ensure the competence of related contractors and staff.
Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
Preferably at least 3 years of work experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering for degree holders.
Knowledge/Skills
Good interpersonal skills.
Possess good writing skills and network knowledge.
