Job summary

A leading company in the diagnostic imaging field seeks a Radiographer to deliver high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and equipment care. This role involves performing various radiographic procedures, adhering to safety practices, and mentoring junior staff as needed. An ideal candidate will possess a recognized degree in Diagnostic Radiography, hold the necessary licenses, and be proactive in providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications

  • Requires timely update and renewal of RI license.
  • Registration with Allied Health Professions Council is necessary.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiographic examinations including X-ray, mammography, and/or ultrasound.
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of the patient.
  • Assist Centre In-charge/Senior Radiographer in supervising junior practitioners.

Job description

The Radiographer is responsible for the providing prompt diagnostic imaging services to the patient, ensuring patient safety and proper care of equipment. Assist Centre In-charge/ Senior or Principal Radiographer to guide and supervise junior and student radiographers when required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiographic examinations and/or at least one of the area of specialty including Xray, mammography and/or ultrasound and/or Bone Mineral Densitometry.
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of the patient.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment; adhere to safe work practices especially in radiation safety and infection control.
  • Ensure proper usage and care for all equipment at the specific diagnostic centre.
  • Perform other administrative duties or ad-hoc quality departmental projects/activities as assigned by the reporting officer/ Lead Radiographer
  • Apply the ALARA principle for all procedures.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the allocated diagnostic centre.
  • Render prompt and courteous service delivery to external and internal customers.
  • Ensure efficient running and operations of their area of responsibility.
  • Assist the Radiographer-In-Charge / Senior or Principal Radiographer to ensure quality control procedures are performed diligently.
  • Ensure AHPC certification is achieved after one / two years depending on qualification(s).

Job Requirements

Required Skills And Experience

  • Recognized degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Professional Licence: R1 license with Centre for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Sciences, National Environment Agency.
  • Timely update and renewal of RI license.
  • Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and quality assurance programs as directed by Radiographer In-charge / Senior or Principal Radiographer.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in an organized and timely manner.
  • Service orientated and customer focused. Have a compassionate, caring and friendly attitude.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Effective communications and coaching skills.
  • Good team player.
