With a commitment to research-driven product development and quality assurance, our client is now seeking a talented R&D Scientist to join their innovation team and drive new product research and formulation. This person will be responsible for researching, developing, testing, and optimizing food and beverage products in alignment with the company’s innovation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support product development projects from concept to commercialization
  • Formulate and test new food and beverage products, optimizing taste, texture, shelf-life, and nutrition
  • Conduct laboratory trials and pilot-scale production to evaluate ingredient functionality and process feasibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Marketing, Regulatory, and Manufacturing
  • Analyze sensory, chemical, and physical properties of prototypes and ensure product quality standards
  • Research emerging trends, ingredients, and technologies to contribute to the innovation pipeline
  • Maintain accurate documentation, technical reports, and formulation records
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, local/international labeling requirements, and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in R&D or product development within the food or beverage industry
  • Solid understanding of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food safety regulations
  • Experience in product formulation, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies
  • Familiarity with regulatory and labeling requirements (e.g., FDA, CFDA, EFSA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in English and [local language] is preferred
