Job summary

ASMPT SMT Solutions is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical design and product development under guidance from senior engineers. You will contribute to solutions that meet requirements for functionality, manufacturability, cost, robustness, and quality, while supporting sustaining engineering and documentation.

Collaborating with local and global teams, you will participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
• Knowledge of SMT/PCBA industries and related processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Siemens NX or SolidWorks) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and development of systems and assemblies per PLM processes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to complete deliverables at project milestones.
• Review product requirements with stakeholders at development start.
• Develop designs that meet functionality, manufacturability, cost, robustness, and quality expectations.
• Participate in design reviews and prototype testing activities.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation per ASMPT PLM requirements.
