Role Overview

As the R&D Manager – AI & Cybersecurity, you will lead the development and innovation of advanced AI-driven cybersecurity solutions designed to protect enterprise and cloud infrastructures from evolving cyber threats. This is a leadership role at the intersection of artificial intelligence, security engineering, and research, offering the opportunity to shape next-generation defense technologies. You will manage a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers, driving projects from conceptual research through to real-world deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D initiatives focused on AI-powered cybersecurity systems, including anomaly detection, threat simulation, and vulnerability analysis.
• Drive the design and optimization of machine learning and deep learning models tailored to adversarial scenarios and cybersecurity use cases.
• Oversee the development of behavioral analytics, graph-based threat modeling, and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Guide red/blue team exercises and the creation of autonomous agents for continuous threat emulation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and executive teams to align R&D output with commercial product strategies.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions.
• Represent the organization at conferences, technical forums, and in peer-reviewed publications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record (5+ years) in leading R&D or advanced technical teams, particularly in AI and/or cybersecurity domains.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, with additional experience in Go, C++, or JavaScript considered a plus.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in one or more of the following:
  • Vulnerability research (fuzzing, binary analysis, static/dynamic analysis)
  • Penetration testing or red/blue team operations
  • Machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
  • Behavioral modeling or graph-based security inference (e.g., GNNs)
• Familiarity with cloud security models, Zero Trust architectures, and adversarial defense strategies.
• Experience with modern DevSecOps workflows and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications or open-source contributions in AI security, adversarial ML, or cybersecurity tooling.
• Recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISA, OSCP, or RHCE.
• Experience in productizing AI-based cybersecurity solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with prior international conference participation being advantageous.
