Responsibilities

• Define and drive R&D strategy to modernize hydraulic deck equipment to electrical power.
• Spearhead development for offshore renewable technologies (e.g., vertical axis wind turbines).
• Oversee end-to-end management of R&D projects, budgets, and specs on time.
• Supervise engineering design and BOM creation; ensure smooth transfer to manufacturing.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineers and collaborate with Sales/Marketing/Production to align with market needs.

Job description

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

• Drive the R&D strategy, focusing on the modernization of traditional hydraulic deck equipment (winches, cranes) to electrical-powered systems.


• Spearhead development initiatives for offshore renewable technologies, including vertical axis wind turbines and integrated rotor sailing systems.


• Monitor global maritime technology trends, environmental regulations, and competitor movements to ensure Tiancheng remains at the industry forefront.

Project & Technical Management

• Oversee the end-to-end management of R&D projects, ensuring milestones, budgets, and technical specifications are met on time.


• Supervise in-house system design, engineering documentation, and the creation of detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).


• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer and production teams to facilitate the successful transfer of new designs into manufacturing.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of discipline, dedication, and innovation.


• Act as a bridge between the R&D department and Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure market-driven product development.
