About Aprisium:

Aprisium is a deep tech startup driving environmental sustainability and profitability through real-time, autonomous contamination detection and monitoring solutions. Our mission is to empower industries with IoT-enabled, AI-driven analytics to enhance operational efficiency while positively impacting the environment.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the ideal candidate will required a strong chemical engineering background to lead APRISIUM research and development department. He/ She will play a pivotal role in product innovation and development, as well as work on designing prototypes, Data analysis for digital innovation and new sensor testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the R&D Team Members, guiding them in the Research and Development skills and optimization of APRISIUM’s IoT-enabled sensor analyzers and other cutting-edge products.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end development of chemical sensors and fluidic systems for real-time contamination monitoring.
  • Work with virtual teams across functions and with external partners like customers, supplier and universities to drive innovations. This includes designing, planning, analyzing, reporting lab and pilot experiments, integrate chemical engineering principles as well as managing field trials at customer sites.
  • Drive product innovation by identifying emerging trends in environmental monitoring, water quality analysis, and biochar testing.
  • Develop roadmaps for future product lines and capabilities.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements and product designs.
  • Explore and implement advanced methodologies such as AI and blockchain to enhance product offerings.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Identify opportunities for Aprisium to establish global standards and protocols in biochar testing, water monitoring, and other environmental applications.
  • Formulate innovation initiatives aligned to the organisation's vision, mission and values.
  • Oversee modelling and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Present project updates and technical information to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the superior.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • 5 years of professional experiences in related fields; at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Preferred experiences in the field of water treatment and/or chemical circularity.
  • Background in R&D work and excellent project management.
  • Experience in digital solutions and data analysis and modelling.
  • Strong expertise in sensor technology, fluid dynamics, and chemical analysis.
  • Proven experience with IoT-enabled systems and AI integration in industrial applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Confidence, optimism, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in environmental sustainability or water quality monitoring industries.
  • Familiarity with blockchain applications in testing and certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a product from concept to commercialization.
