Job summary

COIM Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Chemistry graduate to support the R&D Manager (Imuthane) in developing new R&D projects and performing analytical work. The role involves assisting in raw material sourcing, quality troubleshooting, and process modification to back production needs.

You will update reports, ensure lab consumables, and participate in safety and health activities. Fresh graduates or 1–2 years in chemical industry are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Assist in developing new R&D projects and conduct analytical work.
• Support approval of new sources of raw materials.
• Assist Imuthane production in quality trouble-shooting.
• Assist in process modification when required by production.
• Update and file analysis reports and other documents.
• Ensure consumables for daily operation of Imuthane labs.

Responsibilities

• Report to the R&D Manager (Imuthane).
• Follow instructions to assist in developing new R&D projects and conducting R&D and analytical work.
• Follow instructions to assist in approval of new sources of raw materials.
• Assist Imuthane production in quality trouble-shooting.
• Assist in process modification when deemed necessary by production.
• Update and file analysis reports and other documents.
• Ensure that all consumables are sufficient for daily operation of Imuthane labs.
• Assist failure analyses on customers’ complaints and provide customer support through testing of samples sent by customers.
• Assist in analytical method development through collaboration with external laboratories.
• Carry out safety and housekeeping activities in the department.
• Participate in the company’s safety and health committee when required.
• Assist in sample preparation from small scale to large scale when receiving customer request from sales.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
