Job summary

Heraeus Materials Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an ambitious R&D Engineer to join the Pioneer office in Singapore. You will conduct hands-on laboratory work, analyze data, and contribute to new testing methodologies to drive product innovation.

You will collaborate across Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Marketing to support development and troubleshooting, ensure product quality, and document test results with accuracy. Suitable for candidates with 3–5 years in labs or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of material science, assembly materials (e.g., paste, powder, flux), or related applications.
• Familiarity with data analysis methods and statistical tools.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Basic project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of data and documentation.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Comfortable working in both laboratory and office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-driven (CD) projects and second-source qualification initiatives, including project planning, execution, regular stakeholder alignment, and technical reporting
• Support new product development activities, including participation in technical discussions, resource planning, and experimental design
• Assist in laboratory trial runs, including hands-on work, troubleshooting, data collection, and analysis
• Prepare and maintain clear and accurate documentation, reports, and test records
• Support customer sample requests and ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, laboratory standards, and good housekeeping practices
• Provide technical support for internal stakeholders and external requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams to support product development and troubleshooting
• Support administrative tasks, including SAP data updates, documentation control, and laboratory cleanliness
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform other assigned duties as required
