An innovative medtech company is hiring an R&D Control & Algorithm Engineer to join their Singapore R&D center. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge algorithms and control strategies for advanced surgical robots that enhance precision and patient safety. Candidates should hold a master's or PhD in a relevant field and have experience in robotic system development. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred for collaboration with the headquarters in China.

R&D Control & Algorithm Engineer
(Principal / Senior / Engineer)
Responsibilities
As part of the Control & Algorithm team; you will be working on cross-functional team projects to develop and deliver new and innovative technical solutions for an advanced flexible robotic surgical system.
This includes developing algorithms to
detect or control surgical instruments.
Kinematics algorithms to control master controller
Control strategies
Great to have:
Endoscopic/surgical instrument design, control, or parameters calibration.
Flexible structure design, control, or parameters calibration.
Robotic arm (PSM, MTM) control and algorithm development.
Requirements
You should have a Masters or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering or any related field.
Familiar with robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
Familiar with Linux, familiar with popular programming languages such as C/C++and Matlab;
Experience in robotic system development, experience with flexible, cable-driven robotic system would be a plus.
Ability to communicate (speak and write documentation) in Mandarin is preferred as you will be liaising closely with other support departments in China HQ.
Final position (Principal / Senior / Engineer) offered will commensurate with your years of relevant experience.
