JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in evaluating all starting materials from current and new sources to ensure they are fit to use in the product development and production.

• Assist in all aspects of new wet wipes product development from concept inception, formulation, production trials to the final delivery of the marketable formula with proven consumer perceivable benefits.

• Actively collaborate with various groups such as Marketing, QA and Manufacturing for new product developments.

• Document material and product information in a precise and timely manner.

• Create, update and maintain data in the company’s SAP B1 system.

• Provide regulatory support to R&D Manager

• Responsible for day to day activities in the lab.

• Ensure compliance company and regulatory standards and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in a chemistry or material science related discipline.

• Prior experience in product development, R&D, or a similar role in the personal care, hygiene, or pharmaceutical industries.

• Experience with formulating and testing raw materials, emulsification systems, or similar processes is a plus.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as MDR and FDA, with the ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

• Ability to make critical observations, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute to the resolution of complex problems during product development and testing.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and support product testing and scale-up processes.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

• Strong communication skills that allow for professional presentation of fact, ideas and positions.

• A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Occasional travel is expected.
