We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative R&D Technology Assistant Manager/ Manager to lead our technology research and development initiatives at ST Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating R&D innovation activities, managing internal processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. You should have a strong background in technology and engineering, coupled with excellent leadership and business skills. The role requires staying updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends to ensure our company remains competitive.

Be Part of Our Success

1. Technology Development

  • Coordinate Innovation Initiatives: Lead and organize ST Engineering R&D innovation initiatives, competitions, and events to foster creativity and technological advancement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain technology partnerships that drive innovation and growth.

  • Competency Framework: Support the definition, roll-out and governance the Engineering Competency Management Framework to ensure the development of essential skills and knowledge within the organization.

2. R&D Administration and Governance

  • Secretariat Role: Serve as the Secretariat for the ANS Product Council, facilitating meetings, documenting decisions, and ensuring effective and prompt communication.

  • Process Management: Govern the internal R&D process, assist the Senior Management in prioritizing and allocating R&D resources, design efficient workflows and monitor the timely delivery of ANS Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and final products.

  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Finance and Product teams to:

    • Budget Forecasts: Prepare detailed R&D budget forecasts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

    • Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor internal R&D budget expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial plans.

    • Tax Claims: Administer R&D tax claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing available benefits.

  • Reporting: Responsible for monthly R&D progress reports to Senior Management to ensure informed decision-making and strategic alignment.

Qualities We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in R&D management, preferably in a technology-related industry.

  • Core Skills:

    • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

    • Basic financial skills to ensure that R&D projects are financially viable, well-managed, and aligned with the overall strategic goals of the organization.

    • Keen interest in technological trends and advancements in the areas of Communications and Sensors. Ability to drive technological innovation and transit it into product development.

    • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
