NTU Singapore invites a Research Fellow to tailor geometrically designed quantum circuits for preparing cold quantum states, enabling prototype quantum computers. A PhD is required and strong programming and analytical skills are essential to succeed.

You will develop Python/Julia tools to count gates, test low-energy state preparation on Helios/Heron hardware, and mentor junior researchers while collaborating with Prof. Marek Gluza’s NTU group.

Competenze

• PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or hands-on experience deploying quantum circuits on hardware.
• Proficiency with standard quantum computing SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Q#).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages, numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to mentor junior researchers and work independently under tight timelines.

Mansioni

• Provide Python or Julia code to compute gate counts and improve resource estimates.
• Validate feasibility of low energy state preparation on Helios or IBM Q hardware and liaise with providers.
• Execute quantum circuits on hardware and supervise research assistants in data analysis.
• Apply state preparation algorithms to molecular systems and extract physical properties.
