Job summary

NTU Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to advance geometrically-designed quantum algorithms and tailor quantum circuits for cold state preparation. The role involves code development in Python or Julia, and collaboration with Prof. Marek Gluza to push hardware-ready resource estimates.

The candidate will validate state preparation feasibility on Helios/Heron hardware, mentor juniors, and contribute to quantum middleware research. A PhD is mandatory for this postdoc position at NTU.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in similar role and/or hands-on experience deploying quantum circuits on hardware.
• Familiarity with standard quantum computing SDKs and programming languages.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Provide code in Python or Julia to compute gate counts and optimize resource estimates.
• Validate feasibility of low-energy state preparation on available hardware and liaise with providers.
• Execute quantum circuits on hardware and supervise research assistants during data analysis.
• Apply state preparation algorithms to molecular systems and extract physical properties.
