Job summary

Marina Bay Sands is seeking a Contracts/Procurement professional to support the design and construction process, manage contracts and documentation, and help track payments and reports for ongoing projects.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, experience with Ariba and Sage, and a minimum of five years in related fields. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree preferred in Business, Law, Design, Engineering, Project Management or Costs Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience; minimum 4 years of experience in the related field.
  • Strong computer and software skills, including MS Word, Excel, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of construction procurement process and commercial awareness.
  • Strong oral and written communication; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties per departmental and corporate procedures and policies.
  • Support design and construction contracts from development to delivery.
  • Supervise filing systems for contracts and documents (electronic and hardcopy).
  • Input/update data in internal contract management systems, supervising junior staff.
  • Assist with tracking, expediting, collecting and collating periodic reports and data submissions.
  • Review project registers including payments, changes and contract communications.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing supplier payments and reporting, incl. daily/weekly/monthly submissions.
  • Support Commercial Manager during bidding; issue RFPs, analyze proposals, and prepare BAWs.
  • Attend and prepare meeting notes for pre-award, progress, and other meetings related to delivery.
  • Assist Commercial Manager to receive/analyze supplier payment certificates.

Job Responsibilities
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and corporate operating procedures and policies.
  • Support the team with all necessary duties to develop and deliver comprehensive design and construction contracts.
  • Supervise the establishment and maintenance filing systems (electronic and hardcopy), including the receiving, distribution and filing of contracts and associated documents.
  • Inputting and updating data contained in internal contract management systems, including the supervision of data input by junior members of the team.
  • Provide support in the tracking, expediting, collecting and collating of periodic reports and other regular data submissions.
  • Review project registers such as payments, changes and contractual correspondences.
  • Providing support in the tracking, expediting, collecting and collating contractor’s daily, weekly and monthly reports and other regular data submissions.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager during the bidding process with activities such as issuing the RFP, receive and analyze the proposals and preparation of the BAW.
  • Attend and prepare meeting notes for any pre-award, progress and other relevant meetings relating to the delivery of the project.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager to receive and analyze supply chain partner’s payment certificates
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
  • Bachelor Degree preferred in the area of Business, Law, Design, Engineering, Project Management or Costs Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience; minimum 4 years of experience in the related field
  • Strong computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as strong use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Other Prerequisites
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction procurement process and commercial awareness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, Detail-oriented, Self-motivated professional, Provide thorough and skillful administrative support, Strong organizational skills, Ability to multi-task and prioritize to achieve project goals
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Previous knowledge of Ariba & Sage based networks would be an advantage.
