JOB EXPRESS SERVICES PTE. LTD. invites a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Cost Management Department in Singapore. You will oversee cost control, reporting, and procurement activities across projects.

The role requires strong analytical ability, accuracy in cost estimation, and proficiency with cost software such as CostX to support vendor negotiations and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying and cost management.
• Proficiency with CostX or similar cost estimation software.
• Ability to manage cost reports and cost allocations.

Responsibilities

• Compile and verify monthly cost reports against project projections with variance analysis.
• Study project requirements and forecast potential additional costs.
• Ensure payment and cost allocations align with work items.
• Review and monitor monthly closing of POs and site cost projections.
• Track and monitor site expenses across all trades.
• Call for quotations from vendors/subcontractors and prepare comparison sheets.
• Conduct quantity take-offs based on drawings (manual or CostX).
• Manage quotation processes for ongoing works by trade.
• Track VO lists and compute expected project profit.
• Support negotiation of final accounts with vendors and subcontractors.

Quantity Surveyor (Cost Management Department) 6012

Salary: $3,600 – $4,500

Location: City Hall, Singapore

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Compile and verify monthly cost reports against project projections, including variance analysis with proper justification
• Study project requirements and forecast potential additional costs based on projections
• Ensure payment and cost allocations are aligned with specific work items
• Review and monitor monthly closing of POs and site cost projections
• Track and monitor site expenses across all trades
• Call for quotations from vendors/subcontractors and prepare comparison sheets
• Conduct quantity take-offs based on drawings (manual measurement or using CostX or similar software)
• Manage quotation processes for ongoing works by trade
• Track variation order (VO) lists and compute expected project profit
• Support negotiation of final accounts with vendors and subcontractors
