Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering processes. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar, possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong analytical and negotiation skills. Responsibilities include preparing Bills of Quantities, coordinating tender submissions, and evaluating bids. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities and cost estimates from design drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and submission of tender documents.
  • Analyse tender requirements and identify potential risks or cost implications.
  • Liaise with internal teams (engineering, procurement) and external subcontractors/suppliers to obtain quotations and technical inputs.
  • Evaluate and compare tender submissions to assist in bid strategy and decision‑making.
  • Maintain tender databases, track progress, and update management regularly.
  • Support contract negotiation and clarify tender queries.
  • Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements and contractual standards.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost optimization during tender preparation.
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on tendering in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement, estimating, and tendering procedures.
  • Proficient with QS software and MS Office.
