Job summary

AECOM in Singapore is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to establish client requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and manage contract administration from tender to post-contract. You will interpret drawings to estimate costs, prepare cost plans, measure quantities, and provide guidance on variations, while collaborating with architects, consultants and clients to deliver projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
  • 0-3 years of experience within pre and post contract in consultancy / main contractor environment.
  • Builder and/or infrastructure project would be of advantages.
  • Demonstrate passion, be results orientated and commitment to the company and client.
  • Contributes by solving problems and applying experience to typical projects.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to juniors.
  • Performs a self-check of work products before submitting them to others.
  • Works collaboratively with guidance on how to complete unfamiliar work activities.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate project costs and prepare cost plans and budget studies.
  • Measure and take off quantities for architectural, infrastructure and structural work elements.
  • Prepare main building contracts, piling contracts and nominated sub-contracts for tender and contract formalization.
  • Administer pre and post contract work, including assessment of variation orders and interim valuations.
  • Compile and execute contract documents whilst adhering to statutory building regulations.
  • Value completed work, arrange payments and provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of project work.
  • Analyse outcomes and prepare detailed progress reports.

Job Description
