Job summary

AVA Global Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tendering and contract administration for façade projects. Fresh graduates with strong drawing interpretation skills are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, reviewing drawings and tender documents, budgets and cash flow forecasts, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Must read and interpret architectural, structural and façade drawings.
• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Fresh graduates welcome; limited experience accepted.
• Experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminum, glazing a plus.
• Knowledge of Singapore tendering procedures and contract administration preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Bluebeam knowledge advantageous.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and eager to learn.

• Review drawings, specs and tender docs for accurate measurements and cost calculations.
• Assist in budgets, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost variations.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, quotations and cost proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost comparisons and assist in subcontractor and supplier selection.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely tender submissions.
• Assist in administering main contracts and subcontracts.
• Prepare and follow up on progress claims, payment applications and variation orders.
• Maintain records of contractual documents and cost-related correspondence.
• Assist in negotiating final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, consultants and subcontractors on quantity and cost-related matters.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Support the QS Manager in daily commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

• Prepare cost estimates, material take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BQ) based on architectural, structural and façade shop drawings.

• Review project drawings, specifications and tender documents to ensure accurate measurements and cost calculations.

• Assist in preparing project budgets, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

• Monitor project costs and assist in identifying potential cost variations.

Tendering & Procurement

• Assist in preparing tender submissions, quotations and cost proposals.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Prepare cost comparisons and assist in subcontractor and supplier selection.

Contract Administration

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Must be able to read and interpret architectural, structural and façade shop drawings.

• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off, measurement and construction cost estimation.

• Fresh graduates and candidates with limited relevant experience are welcome to apply.

• Experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminum, glazing or construction projects will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of Singapore construction tendering procedures and contract administration is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar measurement software is advantageous.

• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills.

• Detail-oriented, responsible and willing to learn.

• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
