Job summary

Mako is seeking an analytical Options Trader to join its market-making team in Singapore, focusing on Index and Stock Options in the Indian market. You will manage a proprietary trading book, generate ideas, and backtest strategies using quantitative tools.

Required: 2+ years of systematic options trading, strong STEM background, and proficiency in Python and/or C++. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of systematic trading experience in options.
• Experience designing and implementing trading strategies through quantitative research.
• STEM degree (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, CS).

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise a proprietary trading book focused on Indian Index and Stock Options.
• Generate and implement trading ideas using both intuition and data-driven research.
• Analyse historical trading performance to improve strategies and execution.
• Monitor and manage risk exposures in real time.
• Use quantitative tools to build hypotheses, design experiments, and backtest strategies.
