Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (Singapore) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Developer to build, support, and integrate globally accessible quant trading infrastructure.

You will work with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to gather requirements and develop tools, covering full lifecycle development from requirements to release. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in financial services or enterprise environments, strong technical background in quantitative trading systems, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience in financial services or enterprise environments.
• Proficient in Python and/or Rust; C++ is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases and writing production queries (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, ClickHouse).
• Experience with real-time market data; knowledge of time-series data is advantageous.
• Experience with React, CSS, AWS, Redis, Kubernetes, Kafka, and low-latency middleware is a plus.
• 5+ years of Agile Development/SCRUM.
• 5+ years of DevOps with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and independent collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our in-house Equity Vol systematic trading platform and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with business users and platform developers to deliver software solutions.
• Design and implement scheduling and monitoring processes across the platform.
• Partner with teams to adopt best practices for tech delivery and API development.
• Balance feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market while delivering solutions.
• Work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve shared tooling and automation.
• Identify and automate manual processes.
