Job summary

Squarepoint Services seeks a Python-focused software engineer with 4+ years in finance to design, build, and deploy core risk technology and data-pipeline software. You will collaborate with quantitative and trading teams, capture requirements, define architecture, and drive deliverables while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
4+ years Python experience in the finance industry.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with SQL databases.
Knowledge of traded financial instruments (Equity, FX, Credit or Rates).
Nice to have: FIX protocol, Python data engineering with pandas, R, Julia; KDB+/q.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, maintainable software for risk technology and data pipelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, define architecture, and resolve bottlenecks.
Lead design discussions and mentor other team members.
Participate in level 2 support and incident resolution.
