Quality & Testing Specialist

This position reports to the Production Engineering Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and skilled teams to meet and surpass customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. You will implement prevention, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. Collaborating with local functions, you will work towards achieving quality targets and unmatched performance.

The work model for this role is: Onsite. This position contributes to the Electrification business area in India. Main stakeholders include engineering, production, quality assurance, and customer service teams.

Main responsibilities

• Conduct test protocols to ensure products, systems, or software meet requirements and customer expectations, including Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) and internal quality checks.
• Support test method setup, equipment validation, and material/component selection aligned with test targets.
• Assist in quality activities across supplier quality, production, testing/validation, and engineering within the local organization.
• Provide quality-related training and promote a culture of quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of quality control tools, test methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques, especially in electrical and power systems.
• 3+ years of experience in quality and testing roles, working with UPS systems and high-power 3-phase applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MATLAB, LabVIEW, PCBA programming, and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
