A leading company in the professional hygiene and industrial maintenance sector is seeking a Quality, Safety & Environmental Manager. This permanent position based in Tuas involves ensuring compliance with ISO standards and managing workplace safety and environmental practices. Ideal candidates will have relevant academic qualifications, certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in QESH roles. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Job description

• Position: Quality, Safety & Environmental Manager (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001)
• Location: Tuas
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm)
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $5,500 + Performance bonus + OT Pay (if required)
• Duration: Permanent
• Industry: Professional Hygiene and Industrial Process & Maintenance consumables

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality & Environmental Integrated Management Systems
• Ensure quality compliance & environmental permits and legal compliance
• Monitor quality KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
• Lead internal and external audits and manage compliance requirements for integrated management system
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and ensure waste management practices
• Maintain and improve workplace Environment, safety & health and bizSAFE 4
• Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Ensure compliance with local occupational safety laws and global EHS standards
• Maintain workplace environmental & safety management system and oversight incident investigations
• Register and maintain approvals/licenses for chemicals/products with regulatory authorities
• Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the business, recommend and implement provisions required
• Train employees on QESH policies, regulatory compliance, and safe practices
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and quality/environmental awareness programs
• Coordinate training required for QESH management system and compliance provision
• Submit regular reports on compliance status to senior management and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Required Certifications: ISO 9001, 14001 Internal Auditor, bizSAFE 2
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QESH and/or regulatory compliance roles, ideally in a chemicals industry
• Required to be detail-oriented with excellent analytical, leadership, and documentation skills
