Job summary

Grant Thornton Singapore Private Limited is seeking self-motivated professionals to join the Risk & Quality (R&Q) Team and Data Protection Office (DPO) Team. This internal-facing role reports to the firmwide Risk Director and Data Protection Officer and focuses on data protection and risk/compliance support for engagements.

The role involves coordinating audits, updating policies, and advising engagement teams on regulatory requirements, with a strong emphasis on MAS regulations and AML/CTF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (law background a plus).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or data protection.
• Good knowledge of data protection laws.
• Familiarity with MAS, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorism financing regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordination of data protection audits/reviews.
• Collate and distribute audit/review matters to process owners and monitor follow-up timelines.
• Assist in implementing/updating global and local data protection policies and procedures.
• Assist reviews to ensure compliance with data protection policies and legislation.
• Assist responses to data protection queries.
• Assist in managing and recording data incidents.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects.
• Assist in rolling out risk and quality initiatives.
• Help develop and update practice aids/tools for service delivery.
• Assist in training development and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with MAS and global risk requirements.
