Job description

We are looking for a FIELD JOINT COATING (FJC) QUALITY INSPECTOR to work in Bukom Island for one year contract.

Assist QA/QC Supervisor as described (but not limited to) below:

  • Daily implementation and execution of quality assurance and control surveillance and inspection in ensuring all fabrication, production, construction and installations are complies with project contract, specifications, and codes and standards requirements.
  • Identify potential non-conformance and opportunity for improvement and issuance of Corrective Action Request (CAR) and follow-up for closeout.
  • Witnesses and verification of field joint coating qualification and testing.
  • General surveillance and inspection of field joint coating related activities before, during and after the fabrication, production, construction, and installation of works. This include but not limited to ensuring successful implementation of followings:
    • General surveillance, verification and inspection of joint corrosion protection or coating related activities before, during and after the fabrication, production, construction, and installation of works.
    • The approved procedure requirements for material storage, consumable control, joint preparation, traceability, joint corrosion protection and coating application & surveillances procedures requirements, compliance with acceptance and rejection criteria and repairs etc in according to ITP and Specification requirements.
    • Surveillance and verification of corrosion protection and coating application apparatus calibration and validity.
  • Ensure Quality deliverables (Inspection & Testing Plan, procedures, training, certification etc.) fit together with site work execution dates for all construction activities.
  • Responsible for carrying out surveillances to ensure successfully implementation of QA activities, surveillances and its deliveries.

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to QA/QC Supervisor at Site.
  • Functionally, he reports to Quality Lead.

HSSE Assurance

  • Attends toolbox meetings at regular intervals and proactive reports/intervenes unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure the execution of Quality Lessons Learned at the field.

Interface Management

  • Ensure that quality surveillances and inspections with the EPCI Contractor at sites is coordinated such that work interfaces and Quality issues are closely tracked and expediently closed out to safeguard HSSE, Quality, cost and delivery schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10-years experience in quality assurance surveillance, field joint coating inspection related aspects.
  • Possess Painting / Coating Inspector in ISO9712 / BGAS / NACE Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Possess Welding inspection related qualification in ISO9712 / CSWIP 3.1.1, CWI or equivalent related experience will be added advantage.
  • Experience in carry out quality assurance audit / surveillance inspections.
  • Ability to ensure verifying implementation of method statement, procedures, inspection and testing plans (ITP) requirements.
