A leading company in the aerospace sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product compliance and maintain quality standards. Responsibilities include FAI reporting and leading quality discussions with suppliers. Ideal candidates have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and experience in quality management systems.

Location: Seletar
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.00am-5.30pm.
Salary: $2800-$3300
Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• FAI Reporting: Prepare and submit First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
• Incoming Inspections: Perform inspections of incoming materials and verify material certificates for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Supplier/Customer Relations: Lead discussions with suppliers and customers on product quality matters, ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Auditing: Conduct process and product audits to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Deviation Management: Prepare and submit concession/deviation reports for non-conforming products.
• Material Review Board (MRB): Lead MRB meetings with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, and quality) to resolve quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Inspection Leadership: Supervise a team of QC inspectors to ensure parts meet drawing and specification requirements.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Quality Management Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 and experience with implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with SPC, PFMEA, and other quality tools (experience with these tools is an advantage).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
