Job summary

A leading company in machinery manufacturing seeks a Quality Engineer to oversee operations and manage quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Quality Management and at least 5 years of experience in precision machining, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector. This permanent position offers a competitive salary and performance bonus.

Job description

Position: Quality Engineer (Precision Machining / Quality Management)

Location: Tuas

Working hours: 5 days - Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:45pm

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4000 (Basic up to $3800 + $110 Transport Allowance) + Performance Bonus

Duration: Permanent

Industry: Manufacturer and Repair of Machinery

Main Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Quality department operations, ensuring sales requirements are met.
2. Manage inspectors and quality processes.
3. Review documents such as mill cert, DO, COC, etc.
4. Initiate non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
5. Conduct audits and risk assessments.
6. Ensure adherence to quality and safety systems.
7. Provide technical support and coordinate improvement projects.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of precision machining, quality management, and EHS.
2. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Quality Management Engineering.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in precision machining, preferably in Oil & Gas environment.
