In this role, you will drive product quality initiatives throughout the new product development lifecycle, with a focus on the successful integration, qualification, and performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across process integration, manufacturing, R&D, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and to support product reliability, performance, and a smooth transition into production.

The Job
- Lead quality assurance activities for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, modules, and incoming components, covering qualification, reliability testing, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
- Oversee and support semiconductor equipment and machine integration projects, ensuring effective process integration and compliance with established quality requirements.
- Drive quality initiatives throughout the NPD/NPI lifecycle, from the design and development stage through volume production ramp-up.
- Collaborate with process engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams to establish and monitor quality metrics, including SPC, defect reduction, and KPI performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support the resolution of customer complaints, including RMA and field return cases.
- Work closely with Field Service Engineers to monitor machine field performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement cross-functional process and quality improvements to enhance product reliability and performance.
- Travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customer locations as required to support equipment integration, audits, troubleshooting, and other project activities.
The Talent
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in quality engineering within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8D problem-solving, and Six Sigma.
- Proven experience in semiconductor equipment and machine integration, including process tool qualification and integration into fab manufacturing lines.
- Hands-on experience in New Product Development / New Product Introduction (NPD/NPI), including product characterization, identification of Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) and critical parameters, qualification and test development, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and transfer to production.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% as required.
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with proficiency in tools such as JMP and Minitab, and a good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with die bonders and high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of reliability testing, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
- Relevant certifications in quality methodologies, such as Six Sigma Black Belt or APQP.
- Experience in supplier and subcontractor quality management.
