Job summary

Fong's Engineering & Manufacturing Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Engineer to support day-to-day Quality and Engineering activities across products, processes and operations. You will assist in investigating issues, coordinating corrective actions and maintaining technical quality documentation.

The role involves data collection for problem solving, working with multiple departments, and contributing to process improvements that boost product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, quality, medical devices or life sciences experience.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship may be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis methods (Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Gage R&R, DOE).
  • Root cause analysis using Kepner-Tregoe, 5-Why, 6M.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Quality and Engineering activities associated with products, processes and operations
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of product, process, manufacturing and customer-related issues
  • Support customer feedback and complaint activities, including information gathering, investigation coordination, documentation and follow-up
  • Assist in identifying root causes of problems and implementing appropriate corrective and improvement actions
  • Support preparation, review and maintenance of technical and quality documentation
  • Support product and process verification, testing, inspection and evaluation activities as required
  • Participate in product, process and quality improvement projects
  • Collect, organise and analyse data to support problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Service and other departments to resolve issues and complete assigned projects
  • Support implementation of process improvements to improve product quality, efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction

About the role

About you
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline
  • Preferably 1-3 years of relevant working experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, medical devices, life sciences or other technical industries
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship, industrial attachment or project experience may also be considered
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Statistical Analysis (Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Gage R&R, DOE etc)
  • Root cause analysis (Kepner-Tregoe, 5-Why, 6M etc)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively independently and within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
