A leading company is looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure exceptional quality in manufacturing processes. Join our client's team as a Quality Engineer and play a crucial role in project measurement planning, tooling, and inspection. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your technical skills, develop measurement strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards.
Measurement Planning: Develop comprehensive measurement plans based on drawing requirements, selecting appropriate measuring instruments and determining the need for inspection fixtures.
Benchmarking: Collaborate with mold manufacturers and customers to benchmark measurement plans and results, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
Programming: Prepare three-dimensional coordinate measurement programming and guide technicians in correct measurement procedures.
Reporting: Develop measurement plans, submit timely reports to internal and external customers, and provide explanations when necessary.
Documentation: Manage and maintain organization and archiving of measurement reports, as well as write operating instructions for measuring instruments.
Training: Mentor and train newly hired measurement technicians and inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Tool Development: Participate in gauge and tooling development, offering valuable insights on design and maintenance.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and servicing of measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Engineering Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably majoring in Mechanics or Polymer Materials.
Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating growth and expertise in quality engineering.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of GD&T and proficiency in 3D software such as Pro-E, Solidworks, Catia, and NX.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions in quality management.
Measurement Expertise: Proficiency in MSA with strong skills in measurement management.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel overseas for meetings and training as needed.
