In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and customer specifications. Your work plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term success of our customers through consistent product quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and guidelines.
- Conduct audits and inspections of products and processes to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues, developing corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reports on performance against set standards.
- Communicate quality control information to relevant departments and initiate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and efficiency.
- Interpret technical drawings and understand inspection tolerances and specifications. Develop inspection determination matrix and inspection plan
- Train technicians on inspection methods and equipment maintenance.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is required.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor and ASME Y14.5/ISO 14405 GD&T certifications preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards, methodologies, and best practices, as well as experience with quality testing machines and systems.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); proficiency with inspection instruments and metrology software.
- Proficient in using a range of inspection and measuring instruments. Experience with CMM operation is an advantage.
- Familiarity with industry standards: ISO 9001, DNV 2.7‑1/2, API 7, ASME BPVC and ATEX/CSA documentation.
- Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
