Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Reports to: The head of the Customer Support Section

Functional Relationships with:

  • Customers of Murata

  • Functional groups of Murata entities

  • Departments within the factory

  • With auditing parties

POSITION PROFILE:
Based in: Singapore

Job Site: Tuas

Successful candidate will: Act as the primary contact between the factory and the customers / affiliates regarding quality-related inquiries and issues

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to customer's feedback / requests / claims within the target turnaround time.

  • Work with various cross-functional teams to conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints.

  • Adopt a data-driven and scientific approach to perform root cause analysis and develop appropriate corrective action plans.

  • Prepare Failure Analysis Reports (8D) for approval & submission to the customer.

  • Co-ordinate with various teams to prepare for customer audits / visits.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and implement quality improvement activities to meet the company’s goals.

  • Provide on-site and remote support for customers.

  • Periodic travel may be required.

ABILITY / COMPETENCY REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Experience with root cause analysis and statistical analysis tools would be preferred.

  • Knowledge about lithium-ion battery manufacturing would be beneficial.

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications.

  • Proficient in English and Mandarin.
