Job description

Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance cum QMS Engineer, your role is to ensure that our organization maintains high-quality standards in all aspects of our operations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, conducting audits, analysing data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our overall quality performance.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems:

· Establish and maintain quality procedures, policies, and documentation in accordance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).

· Design and implement quality assurance processes and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

· Implement QMS in a Work flow/ SOP for individual department by incorporating the principles of 6S Kaizen method.

2. Conduct Quality Audits:

· Perform regular internal audits to assess adherence to quality procedures and identify areas for improvement.

· Coordinate external audits, such as supplier audits to evaluate the quality and compliance of external partners and suppliers.

3. Monitor and Analyse Quality Performance:

· Collect and analyse quality data, including metrics, customer feedback, and non-conformance reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

· Prepare reports and present findings to management, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for enhancement.

4. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

· Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects and initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma, to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality performance.

· Identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Training and Quality Awareness:

· Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality management systems, processes, and best practices.

· Promote a culture of quality awareness and provide guidance and support to employees to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

· Stay updated with relevant quality regulations and standards applicable to the organization's industry. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate external audits and certifications, as required.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain, to address quality-related issues and drive process improvements.

· Communicate quality-related information and updates to stakeholders, including management, employees, and customers.

8. Risk Assessment and Management:

· Identify potential risks and hazards related to quality and develop risk mitigation strategies.

· Participate in risk assessment activities, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to proactively address quality risks.

9. Documentation and Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality procedures, records, and reports.

· Ensure proper record keeping of audits, corrective actions, and other quality-related activities.

10. Continuous Professional Development:

· Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in quality assurance and quality management systems.

· Attend relevant training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

11. Responsible as an EHS officer:

· Developing and implementing safety policies.

· Conducting risk assessments.

· Ensuring the well-being of employees and protecting the environment within an organization.

Job Requirement:

1. Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering or a related discipline.

· Previous experience in quality assurance, quality management systems, or a related role is typically required.

2. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems:

· Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and frameworks.

· Familiarity with other quality standards and regulations applicable to the industry.

3. Quality Assurance Tools and Techniques:

· Proficiency in quality assurance tools and techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and 8D problem-solving.

· Experience with quality audits and conducting internal or external audits.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

· Knowledge of relevant quality regulations and standards in the industry, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

· Familiarity with regulatory bodies and their auditing processes.

5. Continuous Improvement Methodologies:

· Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, and the ability to apply these principles to enhance quality processes and drive efficiency.

6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

· Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and analyse quality data and metrics.

· Ability to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement based on data analysis.

· Proficiency in problem-solving techniques to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

7. Communication and Collaboration:

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate quality-related information to all levels of the organization.

· Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain, to address quality concerns and implement improvements.

8. Attention to Detail:

· Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in quality procedures, documentation, and record keeping.

· Ability to identify deviations and anomalies in processes or products.

9. Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

· Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and changes in quality standards and regulations.

· Ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs and changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
