Inspect product/material and associated documentation to confirm compliance to Wood, Client or industry specifications/codes and relevant purchase order requirements. This includes at supplies sites, fabrication yards, Wood and client worksites and/or receipt at warehouse locations.
Candidate will be seconded to Client and performing the function as Client's representative, under the stewardship of Client, in managing the projects at their site.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites, suppliers, fabricators, and/or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the project Quality team.
- Inspection of materials and review of material certification prior to delivery to fabricators/manufacturers where required.
- Witness / review of testing activities in compliance with Inspection and test plan requirements.
- Inspection of temporary equipment (wellhead rentals, portable equipment) prior to release.
- Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.)
- Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from fabrication/manufacturing and installation processes.
- Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.
- Attend factory acceptance tests.
- Final inspection release and issue of inspection release notes.
- Report any inspection deficiencies and queries to project quality team.
- Provide support to as-building processes and handover for completions.
- Assist in auditing of material vendors, fabricators, NDT providers, and manufacturers.
- Manage the project System Completion Turnover process.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification.
- Possess Welding Inspector ISO9712 / CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2), CWI or equivalent.
- Possess NDT (UT, RT, MT/PT and PAUT) related experience will be added advantage.
- Relevant WSH certification in managing construction work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 10-years’ experience in quality assurance surveillance, welding inspection related aspects.
- Experienced in carrying out quality assurance audit / surveillance inspections.
- Ability to ensure verifying implementation compliances of method statement, procedures, inspection and testing plans (ITP) requirements.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries.
