Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring food safety compliance with national standards and customer specifications. This role oversees all hygiene and food safety standards within dnata’s inflight kitchen and operated lounges.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct shop floor inspections of Catering Services and document checks daily to ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards, taking corrective actions when non-conformances are observed, and report findings in the daily food safety and hygiene report to the respective HODs.
  2. Conduct flight inspections of meals in production and ready for uplift to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and customer specifications.
  3. Monitor personal hygiene practices of all shop floor personnel, along with the hygiene and cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  4. Provide QA tracking, trending, and other administrative reports.
  5. Ensure raw materials supplied meet specifications and requirements of the company and customers.
  6. Maintain and update prerequisite programs, operational prerequisite programs, and HACCP plans.
  7. Support external audits by authorities, certifying bodies, and customers.
  8. Undertake additional duties assigned by the immediate superior.
  9. Prepare culture media as specified by the Senior Supervisor (Food Lab).
  10. Carry out sterilization of culture media and apparatus.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of laboratory apparatus through washing and decontamination.
  12. Collect samples and conduct microbial analysis as specified by the Senior Supervisor.
  13. Ensure timely analysis of samples collected each day.
  14. Follow up on tests that did not meet microbiological criteria.
  15. Record all test results accurately.
  16. Undertake any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
  17. Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures.
  18. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager or department head.

Requirements

  1. Diploma in Food Science or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing quality and food safety standards.
  3. Qualifications in ISO 22000 & ISO 9001 audits.
  4. Experience managing food safety audits by customers, certification bodies, and government authorities.
  5. Strict adherence to food hygiene and safety procedures.
  6. Proficiency in SAP system.
