Job summary

A leading company in the marine and shipping industry is seeking a Quality Assurance/QC Manager to oversee the implementation of QHSE management systems. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, monitor key performance indicators, and lead safety initiatives while bringing at least 7 years of relevant experience. This role requires strong knowledge of API standards and ISO requirements, alongside a diploma in Engineering or related fields.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Familiar with API 6A & 16A, AWS 1.1, ASME, Codes & Standards.
• Knowledgeable on ISO and API requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and update QHSE management systems.
• Monitor KPIs on QHSE, Security, and Sustainability.
• Conduct safety meetings and participate in incident investigations.

Job description

Job responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and updating the QHSE management systems, ensuring audit and regulatory compliance at all times.
• Monitor KPIs on QHSE, Security and Sustainability, and initiate campaigns to promote compliance and awareness including fire safety.
• Conduct annual management review, monthly safety meetings and take part in incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Perform regular checks and internal audit of ongoing processes.
• Ensure that conditions adversely affecting Quality performance are identified and mitigated
• Investigate customer complaints and supply discrepancies, and all other incidents reported.
Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the General Manager

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering / QA/QC or relevant to marine or shipping industry
• At least 7 years of experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Familiar with API 6A & 16A, AWS 1.1, ASME, Codes & Standard
• Knowledgeable on ISO and API requirement.
