A leading company in Singapore seeks a QHSE Manager responsible for implementing workplace safety and health standards. The role includes compliance oversight, risk assessments, and leading training programs. Ideal candidates will hold relevant certifications and have knowledge of ISO standards, along with strong communication skills.
Targets and Responsibilities
• To keep up with procedures and standards set for QHSE Department
• Ensure QHSE compliance with statutory and internal requirements and targets
• Lead QHSE programs and promote Safety & Wellbeing as one of the Company’s core value
• Oversee the development, implementation, improvement and facilitation of health, safety, security, environmental and quality training materials and programs
• Work closely with the management/ stakeholders in company to ensure all services/ operations are in compliance to all relevant authorities’ requirements. Such authorities include but are not limited to authorities like SCDF, BCA, NEA, MOM, FSB, JTC etc.
• Schedule programs for building equipment to ensure that building equipment are inspected/ tested to meet authorities’ requirement to ensure minimum disruption to operations.
Main Task
• Implement and maintain the Company’s Workplace QHSE Management System
• Assist the organisation to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes
• Recommend reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work
• Demonstrate an excellent environmental and safety behaviour and attitude, follow regulatory practices and rules, recognise and promote hazard and risk reporting
• Conduct Hazard and Risk Assessments to proactively identify areas of opportunity and develop and implement actions to eliminate or mitigate the hazards and risks within the organisation
• Maintain records of internal QHSE audits, risk management system and non-conformances prevention & correction/ compliance
• Initiate and maintain comprehensive accident, emergency response and injury management programs
• Investigate and report on incidents, complaints and other situations as may arise
• Ensure that the organisation is duly diligent in the administration of QHSE programs and employees are properly trained and supervised to perform their duty
• Provide leadership and motivate all employees for injury prevention and timely reporting
• Regular monitoring and review the effectiveness of workplace QHSE management system implementation
• Liaise with authorities, vendors, contractors to ensure all building services works are done at the most competitive price, schedule in compliance to authorities’ requirement without unplanned disruption to operations
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for building equipment to ensure that building equipment are performing to required standards or legal requirements
• Assist the building fire safety manager in conduct tabletop exercise and fire drills
• To engage in any other activities within capacity as requested and delegated by the Head of Department
