Job summary

A leading global MNC in Singapore is looking for a Laboratory Technician to perform routine sample analysis and ensure accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of lab experience. Responsibilities include supporting method improvements and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This is a 1-year contract position with Monday to Friday working hours.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in chemical or semiconductor industry.
  • Familiar with basic analytical techniques, sample testing, and lab documentation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards and laboratory best practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine sample analysis and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Support method improvement and new analysis procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with ISO17025.
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and provide technical support.

Job description

  • Leading global MNC
  • Monday to Friday 815am to 525pm
  • 1 year contract
  • location: Tuas (Company transport provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine sample analysis, review data, and ensure accurate documentation and verification of results
  • Support method improvement and development/validation of new analysis procedures and SOP updates
  • Monitor equipment performance (SPC & DL) and ensure lab systems comply with ISO17025
  • Maintain and calibrate lab instruments; manage parts and standard solution inventory
  • Handle routine and retained sample management
  • Report abnormal findings and maintain instrument data backups
  • Adhere to EHS and lab safety protocols; maintain lab cleanliness and housekeeping
  • Provide urgent sample testing support when needed
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and support continuous improvement
  • Communicate with customers to understand needs and provide technical support
  • Comply with PPE and safety procedures; report near-miss or incidents promptly
  • Participate in risk assessments and incident investigations as required

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, preferably from the chemical or semiconductor industry
  • Familiar with basic analytical techniques, sample testing, and lab documentation
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards and laboratory best practices is an advantage
  • Safety-conscious and familiar with EHS practices in lab environments
