Job Summary
The QC Technician will be part of the Quality team to support QC day-to-day activities operations. They will be responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, and reporting results of their run tests.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Receive, label, and prepare samples for testing, ensuring accurate identification and handling in line with SOPs.
- Accurately record test results in electronic systems. Prepare reports and summaries of findings as required.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments, if needed.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of reagents, consumables, and supplies. Coordinate restocking and proper storage of laboratory materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper waste disposal procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in necessary stability or validation testing.
- Contribute to process improvements, and support initiatives that enhance lab efficiency and quality.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or equivalent
- Proficient in using standard laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and GDP is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong willingness to learn.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
