QC Microbiologist 1

About the role
Your responsibilities
  • Ensure the assigned tasks for raw materials, in-process, utility, base powder, and finished goods samples are tested in a timely manner to meet TAT according to established test methods, technology, and quality requirements to provide accurate results, including sample compositing for both base and finished goods.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of GLP, GDP, and GMP to work effectively in the microbiology laboratory.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis to investigate OOS, deviations, atypical, and invalid results.
  • Assist with Method Verification and Validation as needed. Support Global Analytical Method Harmonization activities, such as method transfer and implementation.
  • Collect and analyze routine and non-routine Environmental Monitoring samples, including swab, air, and water samples, to ensure the plant maintains good hygiene conditions.
  • Support environmental monitoring swab and testing activities when required.
  • Support urgent business needs by conducting sampling or testing during off-hours or weekends as necessary.
  • Maintain complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good laboratory practices.
  • Manage inventory of QC materials such as reagents, chemicals, and consumables to support testing.
  • Use GLIMS laboratory data management system effectively to manage laboratory data, retrieve results, and support data trending and investigations.
  • Maintain laboratory, work area, and equipment housekeeping standards (e.g., practice 5S), observe safety requirements, and ensure Good Laboratory Practice compliance with company and regulatory standards.
The experience we're looking for

At least a degree in microbiology, food science, or a related field, with 1 to 3 years of testing experience, preferably in the infant formula manufacturing industry.

Hands-on experience with microbiological laboratory testing technologies and instruments such as autoclaves, Vitek, Vidas, incubators, and MDS.
