Job summary

Coim Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a laboratory technician to perform analysis in the area of polyurethanes and manage laboratory equipment in Jurong Island. The candidate should hold a diploma in a relevant field and ideally have 1 to 2 years of experience, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role involves maintaining laboratory instruments, documenting results, and ensuring sample management according to SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Possess at least ITE/Diploma in relevant fields.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in chemical/petrochemical industry.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Good laboratory knowledge and methodologies.
• Meticulous with an eye for accuracy.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out analysis and application studies in the area of polyurethanes using laboratory equipment such as potentiometric titrations, gas chromatography, FTIR, Karl-Fischer, AAS, and universal testing machine.
• Carry out technological evaluation of finished products using technological equipment and able to reproduce the customers' application processes.
• Calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Ensure proper documentations of results, equipment and consumables.
• Ensure proper sample management according to SOPs.
• Carry out safety and housekeeping activities in the department.
• Any other duties as and when required to be done by superior.

Requirements

• Possess at least ITE/Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science & Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in chemical/ petrochemical industry.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Good laboratory knowledge and methodologies.
