Job summary

GSK invites applications for a Quality Control Internship in Singapore. You must be a current student enrolled in a Diploma from a local polytechnic, preferably in Chemistry and Biochemistry or an equivalent discipline, and you must be enrolled at a Singapore Polytechnic for the duration of the internship with a credit-bearing arrangement.

During the internship period, you will assist in day-to-day laboratory operations, support QC activities, participate in 5S housekeeping, and help revise SOPs

Qualifications

• Education required: Current student enrolled in Diploma from an accredited local polytechnic, preferably in Chemistry and Biochemistry (or equivalent) discipline.
• Must be enrolled at a Singapore Polytechnic for the duration of your internship and doing a credit-bearing internship.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• To assist in day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
• To perform tasks as assigned by Quality Control (QC) Lab manager and/or lab supervisors.
• To assist in 5S/housekeeping for the laboratory.
• Perform analysis, if required, of QC operations testing for utilities, raw materials, manufacturing processes and products and ensure tests are analyzed in accordance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations.
• To revise SOP for corrective actions and improvements.
• Execute and support equipment/software/method validation and performs (re)validation when necessary.
• Review required chemistry testing for utilities, raw materials, manufacturing processes and products and ensure tests are analyzed in accordance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations.
• Enforce all laboratory policies and practices, and ensure that all in-use procedures are current and compliant.
• Maintains all safety and security policies and practices.
