Job summary

Job description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

QC Inspector will work closely with Supervisor/Lead to complete the daily assigned tasks (incoming inspection, in-process inspection, NDT inspection and final/outgoing inspection). Conducting inspection on various stages of the inspection to ensure the products fulfill the required quality as given in the production requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Perform incoming material inspections as per the appropriate Work Instruction (WI).
  2. Perform correctly the daily in-process and final inspection of the product in accordance with the Quality Procedure (QP) and WI.
  3. Ensure material/component traceability (router sheet) is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  4. Ensure to clock in/out (VM) and update the router sheet correctly.
  5. Ensure only calibrated and validated equipment/measuring devices are used in the inspection processes.
  6. Report to the Supervisor/Lead on any non‑conformance(s) detected during inspection.
  7. Ensure repaired/reworked items are re‑inspected before releasing the product for further processing or delivery.
  8. Prepare and complete inspection records prior to shipment to customers.
  9. Perform any ad‑hoc duties as and when assigned by superior.
  10. Support in the orientation of new recruitment for the quality team by providing on‑the‑job‑training and sharing the company culture and practice, and method of inspection, etc.
  11. Ensures 5S is implemented in the work area.
  12. Adheres company’s guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.
  13. Complies to Company Code of Business Conduct.
  14. Support and participate in company‑wide or departmental programs such as:
    • Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing
    • Social Activities
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  1. Must complete minimum training required specified in Employee Qualification and OJT Form No. S 1-026F.
  2. Ensures Accountability – holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  3. Self‑development – shows personal commitment and takes action to continuously improve. Accepts assignments that broaden capabilities.
  4. Action Oriented – display a can‑do attitude in good and bad times. Steps up to handle tough issues.
  5. Knowledge of ISO9001, Quality Management System, Quality Control and usage of measuring devices/tools.
  6. Preferably knowledgeable in LDP (Liquid Die penetrant or Non‑destructive testing).
QUALIFICATION GUIDE
  1. Education: NITEC/ O or N Levels.
  2. Experience: At least 1-2 years of working experience in fast‑pace Manufacturing environment (preferably Oil and Gas manufacturing).
  3. Communication: Able to communicate in (read, write, speak, listen and Understand) simple English and Good interpersonal skills.
  4. Physical: Has to be physically fit (with good eyesight).
  5. Working Condition: Shop‑floor Environment. Able to work rotating shift and overtime on weekdays, weekends and sometimes public holidays.
