Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a quality inspector to perform inspections and maintain product compliance. Candidates should have GCE 'O' Level or equivalent and experience in a medical device environment. Familiarity with mechanical drawings and inspection tools is essential. This role involves recording data and ensuring the segregation of non-conforming items.

Qualifications

  • Work experience as a quality inspector preferred.
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and functional inspections of components.
  • Maintain compliance with calibration and preventive maintenance.
  • Record inspection data and ensure traceability of products.
  • Initiate non-conformance procedure for defective parts.

Job description
Job responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional/functional inspection of First Article (FA), Incoming, In-process or Outgoing parts in accordance to Work Instructions to ensure that components and products conform to specifications.
  • Ensure the compliance of equipment and tools use during inspection in accordance to Calibration and Preventive Maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain the control of the manufacturing environment and perform gowning as necessary
  • Perform recording of inspection data, monitoring data and other data in accordance to Records Control requirements.
  • Ensure that product identification, status and traceability is maintained throughout product realization in accordance to relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Initiate non-conformance procedure when inspection fails and ensure segregation of non-conforming parts in accordance to Control of Non Conforming Material
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs such as 5S program, yield improvement projects etc.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Job requirements

General Certificate of Education GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent (e.g. Malaysia SPM Level)

Work experience as an quality inspector (Candidates with more work experience can be considered for senior position)

Work experience in a medical device manufacturing environment

Able to understand basic mechanical drawings and specification

Competent using handheld inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages etc.

Competent using inspection equipment such as optical comparator, microscopes etc.
