Job description

The Quality Control Executive will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of all food products produced. This includes monitoring compliance with local food safety regulations and accreditation compliance checks, carrying out inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular line checks, including in-process checks, finished product sampling, and packaging inspection.
  • Investigate and report on non-conformities, deviations, or product defects, and follow up with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot quality issues and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC records, logs, and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and records.
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation procedures are adhered to across all production stages.
  • Ensure all other SOPs are observed and adhered, developing new ones to enhance safety, hygiene and productivity flow.
  • Conduct training and refresher sessions on food safety and quality procedures for line workers.
  • Assist in product shelf-life studies, lab testing coordination, and sensory evaluations.
  • Assist with conducting routine inspections and monitoring of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Assist in performing laboratory testing to ensure compliance with product specifications (e.g., microbiological, physical, and chemical testing).
  • Assist in monitoring production environments for hygiene, temperature, and other food safety requirements.
  • Assist the QA Manager on all other tasks required.
  • You are expected to maintain proper records in carrying out your role, in line with the generally accepted. Quality control standards. You will assist your line manager in producing a monthly Quality Control report for Owner review.
  • In fulfilling your duties and responsibilities, you are expected to engage with other members of staff within the Company to ensure your tasks are completed on time and to the standard required by the Owners of the Company.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant QC experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of food safety standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with FSC 22000 and BRC systems preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible with shift schedules (if applicable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QC reporting tools.
  • Willing to work weekends and evening shifts.
