Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to manage quality assurance functions for various projects including oil & gas and building. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC and commissioning, as well as a Certified Welding Inspector certification. Strong knowledge of relevant standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC and commissioning.
- Certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is required.
- Familiarity with Universal Standard codes such as ASME, API, AWS, NACE, and DSEN.
Responsibilities
- Oversee QA/QC function for projects in oil & gas/building.
- Review and update Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct quality audits and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Take charge of QA/QC function of project for all the discipline such as piping, structure, tankage, HVAC in oil & gas/ building project.
- Review and update QMS.
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
- Coordinate with the client’s representative on all quality matters.
- Participate in the quality internal and external audits.
- Review and update ITP as per project specification.
- Assign QA/QC inspector to dedicated project and monitor the inspector performance.
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues.
- Root cause analysis on quality related issue and propose the preventive measure action.
- Report any non-conformance (NC) and issue corrective action request (CAR) where necessary.
- Liaise with NDT Company to support project team.
- Audit and manage sub-contractor quality matter.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled handover for final project documentation.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Min. 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in QA/QC and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Possess Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- Well versed in Universal Standard codes such as ASME / API / AWS / NACE & DSEN.
