A leading software company in Singapore is seeking a QA Testing Engineer responsible for analyzing requirements and testing software solutions using agile methodology. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, knowledge of HW/DB/DC/Data testing, and proficiency in SQL. The role requires effective communication skills and participation in agile meetings. A degree in a relevant field is essential, with ISTQB certification as an added advantage.

Job description

As a QA Testing professional, you will be responsible for analyzing requirements and testing software solutions using agile methodology. Your key tasks will include creating test models for release testing, developing, updating, and maintaining test cases and plans, as well as coordinating testing-specific release activities. It is essential to follow standard testing methodology frameworks and processes while participating in structured walk-throughs and peer reviews.Communication is a crucial aspect of this role, as you will be expected to effectively communicate with Leads, Managers, and Stakeholders. Your active participation in all agile meetings such as scrum, backlog, and sprint planning is vital. Additionally, you will identify defects and questionable functionality, managing defects through to closure, and resolving issues with unclear requirements to achieve successful results.With a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, you should possess knowledge of HW/DB/DC/Data testing, along with proficiency in writing SQL statements for data validations. Experience in working on projects involving software development life cycles (SDLC) and interpreting business and technical requirements for testing is required. Effective communication skills are essential to articulate testing result data to various audiences.As part of the qualifications, you are expected to hold a degree in BCA, BE/B Tech (CS), M Tech (CS), MCA, or an equivalent field. Possessing relevant certificates like ISTQB will be considered an added advantage. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while designing, developing, testing, and debugging test cases, scripts, plans, and strategy documents will be crucial to your success in this role.,
